One Heart Sangha will be offering a weekend sesshin at the Wellspring Retreat Center in Germantown, MD. Zazenkai participants will join the Sesshin on Saturday.

We will accept registrations until December 26. The Full Sesshin registration will be limited to 20 participants.

The cost is $250 inclusive of meals and lodging from Friday dinner through Sunday lunch. Please note that as a welcoming and inclusive sangha, we will not be dividing the cabins by sex or gender. Couples are welcome to share a room. The cabin rooms and restrooms are private, with locking doors (there are two restrooms per cabin).

Zazenkai is $60 and includes breakfast and lunch.

We are not able to offer options or discounts for partial attendance of the Full Sesshin or Zazenkai.

Please note that payments cover the direct costs of the program and are therefore NON-REFUNDABLE.

Limited scholarship assistance may be available for regular Wednesday evening or regular zazenkai attendees. Send your inquiry to information@oneheartsangha.org or speak directly with a teacher.

Sesshin and Zazenkai Schedule at a Glance

The Sesshin begins at 6PM on Friday 01/09/26 and ends at noon on Sunday 01/11/26. Arrive between 4:30 and 6:00 to register and choose your room. After an orientation at 6PM we will start noble silence for the weekend. The sesshin will end on Sunday with a Way of Council followed by lunch.

Zazenkai begins promptly at 8AM (please arrive by 7:45AM) on Saturday 01/10/26 and ends at 5PM. There will be a brief orientation from the shuso before the Zazenkai participants join the Sesshin for breakfast in silence. In order to maintain the Sesshin and noble silence, we ask that if you cannot join the Zazenkai by the 8AM time, please do not attend.

If you need to leave early please let the shuso know, and leave quietly during a break.
